Which entrance gate should you use?

The official map currently recommends the following gates by ticket category:

  • —General Admission: Gate A, B, E or F.
  • —Accessible tickets: Gate D or E.
  • —Show Centre Zone: Gate B or D.
  • —Premium General Admission: Gate B.
  • —Hospitality: Gate C for Garden Bar, Beach Club, Cabana and Chalet guests.
  • —NXTGN STEM Lab Students with Altitude on Friday: Gate D, E or F.

Check the official map again shortly before departure because gates and venue arrangements can change. Staying in central Surfers Paradise gives you the flexibility to approach the precinct on foot and change gates without relying on a vehicle.

Prepare before reaching the security line

The organiser recommends preparing tickets and bags before arriving at the gate:

  • —Add mobile tickets to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, or print the PDF before leaving your accommodation.
  • —Increase your phone brightness so gate scanners can read the barcode in direct sunlight.
  • —Remove bags from your shoulders and have them open for security inspection.
  • —Review the current conditions of entry before attending.
  • —Do not bring outside commercial takeaway food or glass into the venue.

Tickets should be purchased only through the official Pacific Airshow ticket page. Airshow Suites arranges accommodation and concierge services; it does not issue official event tickets.

Transport, parking and drop-off planning

The official guidance identifies public transport as the preferred way to reach Surfers Paradise. The nearest G:link stations to Show Centre are Cypress Avenue, Cavill Avenue and Surfers Paradise. The event precinct itself has no on-site parking.

The organiser’s transport page lists limited nearby public parking, but demand will be high and road restrictions may affect access. Guests staying within walking distance can leave the car parked at their residence and approach the event on foot. Review the official getting-there guide before travel.

Accessible drop-off

The designated accessible drop-off and pick-up point is on View Avenue near Gate E. The organiser states that it is a drop-off zone only and that no parking is permitted there. Accessible ticket holders are directed to Gates D or E. Read the official accessible viewing guidance for companion-ticket and access details.

Coach and private bus drop-off

The official event map identifies Cypress Avenue between Ferny Street and Surfers Paradise Boulevard as the coach and private-bus drop-off and pick-up location, with Gates E and F the closest entrances. There is no bus parking at that location.

Facilities shown on the official event map

The organiser’s map identifies information points, first aid, bathrooms, accessible bathrooms, baby-changing facilities, food vendors, merchandise, beach access, bars, a family zone and ticketed viewing or hospitality areas. Lost and Found is listed at the Gate C information point.

Leaving and returning during the day

Re-entry is permitted, but guests must obtain a hand stamp before leaving and return with both the stamp and their valid event ticket. This is particularly useful for guests staying nearby: you can return to your suite for lunch, shade or a break, then walk back to the precinct for later displays.

Why this information matters when choosing accommodation

The event map reinforces the value of staying within walking distance. There is no event parking inside the precinct, public transport will be busy and gate choice depends on ticket type. A central residence lets your group walk to the appropriate gate, return during the day and avoid coordinating a vehicle through road restrictions.
